The Devil’s in the Details
What do immigrants think of the Arizona law? Claire Anderson took a Nine Academy class in September and interviewed a Venezuelan immigrant who reflects on the Arizona immigration law. He expresses a very pro-immigrant view, unsurprisingly, but he makes an interesting point when considering SB 1070–that such a law is easily abused, and would unfairly alienate immigrants.
Previously we heard from a Korean immigrant who supports the law, and who believes people should come to America legally.
After watching the two videos, what do you think?

What an important question and a very thoughtful response. This project is terrific.
I agree with Dr. Rothstein’s point that the implementation of SB1070 in a fair, unbiased way would be very problematic.
I am concerned too that the law would become a way to harass people based on their appearance.
