Alvin’s Story
Over the past three months we’ve had the pleasure of working with young refugees from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Nepal, Iraq, Bosnia, and Somalia. They took a nineAcademy class, learning how to use Flip cameras and edit video using Final Cut Express. After learning the skills necessary to create a video, they each told their story on-camera and made a video of their life story.
In this video, Alvin talks about his life during the Blood Diamond War in Sierra Leone. He tells a very powerful story, and his gratitude with respect to coming to America is evident.
