Bhuwani’s Story

Lauren Schwarze | December 10, 2010 | Comments (0)

Over the past several months we’ve had the pleasure of working with young refugees from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Nepal, Iraq, Bosnia, and Somalia. They took a Nine Academy class, learning how to use Flip cameras and edit video using Final Cut Express. After learning the skills necessary to create a video, they each told their story on-camera and made a video of their life story.

In this video, Bhuwani interviews his father, Parshu, about his life–Parshu was forced to move from Bhutan to Nepal, where he spent several years in a refugee camp. Parshu talks about how grateful he is to now live in the U.S.
