“Citizenship” Defined
We continue our look at the vocabulary of immigration with the help of immigration attorney Jalesia (Jasha) F. McQueen Gadberry.
Here Jasha looks at the word “citizenship” and how who your parents are, and where you are born, matters:
Jalesia F. McQueen Gadberry (Jasha), who is a second-generation immigrant and is fluent in Spanish, is owner and attorney of the St. Louis-based law firm, McQueen Gadberry LLC. Her practice areas focus on general corporate law, immigration and international law, which assists business people and globally-minded individuals. An active community member, she currently holds a federal appointment to the Missouri Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, a state appointment to the Missouri Hispanic Business Trade and Culture Commission, and is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis. This series of immigration resources should not be considered legal advice.
